Split Time Card

NO SPLIT SETTING (Default):

In CareTime, the default setting is not to split timecard.  If clock-in is on Day 1 and clock out is on Day 2, the system will record the duration without splitting the timecard at midnight.

Impact to Payroll/Overtime: If Day 1 (clock-in) is the last day of Payroll and Day 2 (clock-out) is the beginning of next payroll, system will include the entire duration for current payroll and overtime calculation.

SPLIT SETTING:

In Agency Detail, click on Configuration tab, scroll down to Allow Timecard Split, select Yes radio button and Save.

This setting will allocate today's hours (Day 1) to today and tomorrow's hours (Day 2) to tomorrow.  Timecard will show a clock-out at 11:59 pm and a clock in at 12:00 am next day.

Impact to Payroll/Overtime: If Day 1 (clock-in) is the last day of Payroll and Day 2 (clock-out) is the beginning of next payroll, system Day 1 hours in current payroll and overtime calculation, and Day 2 hours for next payroll/overtime.
